Device is used to read RFID tags at a frequency of 125 kHz from a distance of up to 8 cm. It includes a converter UART/USB which acts as a virtual COM port when connected to a computer, so the reader can be accessed from commercially available applications, such as Windows SAL232, Hercules and other serial terminals or custom applications.
Connection to a computer using a standard mini USB cable which is also used to power the reader.
